Christmas and More...

So a quick update before we get to Christmas.

Cory just finished up his second semester in the physical therapy program. He did really well in his classes, and I am so excited because this is suppose to be the hardest year in the program. So Cory has been out of school and just looking for things to do.

Cory and I had an exciting weekend before Christmas. We were out shopping the Saturday before and I wasn't feeling too well. I went outside the store we were in to get some fresh air and thought I was gonna be sick right there on the sidewalk. When Cory finally came out, we were walking towards the car and I totally passed out in the parking lot. How embarrassing. People thought I was drunk. I have no idea why I passed out, but it makes for a good story.

Here's an even better one... That day, Cory's eye was really bothering him, so he didn't wear his contacts. His eye progressively got worse, was sensitive to light and was bright red. His pupils were different sizes and he had a horrible pain in his eye. He thought he had acute glaucoma. I thought that was a crazy idea. Sunday he spent at home with the shades closed and no lights on. Monday, he finally went to see the doctor. The first doctor didn't know what was wrong and sent him to an eye specialist. The eye specialist took one look and saw a piece of metal in his cornea. He took a needle and picked it out. Cory then had to take eye drops every 10 minutes, then every hour to get rid of the infection that occurred. I'm just happy it wasn't glaucoma. And his eye is perfectly fine now!

So Christmas has come and gone. I still can't believe it. It was a great second Christmas with Cory. Last Christmas I was sick all Christmas Eve and spent the whole night in bathroom, it was miserable. So this year was definitely a step up. No sickness, well not as bad as last year. We spent Christmas Eve with Cory's family. They had dinner and a program planned out. We also got to open a special Christmas Eve gift (it was exciting because we don't do that in my family). Cory got me some really cute pj pants. We spent the night at his parents. Christmas morning was fun and different than what I was used to. Cory's family rotates who open's a gift and everyone watches. Definitely new to me. But we had a great morning. Cory surprised me with a new camera for the both of us. Definitely the biggest surprise of the day. We took tons of pictures, I'll post some as soon as I put them on my computer. We spent the rest of Christmas day with my family, just hanging out, watching movies and playing games. Katie and Colin got a great game called Curses. It was so much fun, we played it for the longest time. We ended up spending the night at my parents house because of the weather. But it was fun because then we got to play longer. Well, that was my little vacation in a nut shell. I'll post some pictures soon. Hope everyone had a merry Christmas! And I'll update you after New Year's.

For Angela & Ben

I know Angela and Ben check our blog, so I thought I would update it for them, because they hate reading the same thing every day! haha. Our lives here don't seem too exciting lately. Well, at least not for me. Cory is almost done with finals, tomorrow is his last one. So it'll be nice to have him around more instead of always studying. Even though I still have to work, Cory has big plans to go snowboarding over his break. I wish I could play.

Cory's brother Rick and his wife Jen just had a baby yesterday. They had a little girl (which they found out when she was born). Since they already have 2 girls and a boy, this time they thought they would wait to see what they would have. It was so exciting! I don't think I could have waited that long not knowing. We haven't seen the new baby yet, but we'll probably go by when Cory is done with finals. (Sorry I don't know her name yet)

In other news, Cory and I are doing well. Just living life and so excited for Christmas! Cory is like a little boy. Every day he asks if he can open his presents. Not a chance! :) Plus, we love the time with family.

But sadly, not too much has happened in a month. Now it's your turn to update Angela and Ben!

This looked like a fun tag, so I thought I'd pass it along... it's hard, though. Some letters I have a ton of favorites for, but others I can't think of a single movie, so... here is my list of favorite movies from A-Z. Feel free to play along! (from Jessie)

Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter)
Pride & Prejudice (I love all versions)
Quantum of Solace (I'm sure it will be good)

I miss school.

I had a very pleasant surprise today at work. The interior design students at Utah State came down for a tour of 3form! It was so fun to see everyone. I wish I was still at school in a way. I miss it a lot. It was fun being able to bring everyone around and show them where I work. I felt all grown up. Hopefully I will get to see everyone again soon.

Halloween

Cory and I had fun on Halloween rockin' out. We went to his sister Julia's for a little party and had tons of fun. Isn't my husband hot with eyeliner?

Pumpkin Carving

So Cory and I went to his parents house last night to carve pumpkins. Cory carved a skull and I went the non-traditional route and did a polka-dotted pumpkin. Don't they look cute on our little deck?? I can't believe that Halloween is coming so quick, this month has just flown by!

My Husband

1) Where did you meet? It was my ward's ski night and he came with his best friend Keith. We found out we're in the same math class! (I was a little embarrassed that I had never noticed him before and he sat right behind me!)

2) How long did you date before you got married? about 2 years on and off

3) How long have you been married? a little over a year

4) What does he do that surprises you? I'm not sure what he does to surprise me that I didn't already know, but he did give me a great surprise for our one year anniversary! Cory planned a whole trip for us and I had no clue what was going on until we actually got there. We went to the airport and I didn't know our final destination til we where there. He took me to Lake Tahoe and planned the whole weekend. It was great and very romantic!

5) What is your favorite feature of his? It's hard to just pick one feature. He has gorgeous green eyes and I love his dimples when he smiles!

6) What is your favorite quality of his? Cory is so helpful and always takes care of me. I knew he would be a great husband because of how well he would take care of me when we were dating and I was sick.

7) Does he have a nickname for you? When he's acting crazy he calls me kim-dawg

8) What is his favorite color? He says he doesn't have favorites, but he really likes charcoal gray, black and green.

9) What is his favorite food? Like I said, he doesn't have favorites, especially when it comes to food, I've never seen anyone eat like him!

10) What is his favorite sport? I'm not sure he has a favorite sport, but he loves to snowboard, play raquetball and ultimate frisbee :)

11) When and where was your first kiss? In the lobby of the Valley View Towers where I was living, I knew he was going to do it and it took him forever!

12) Favorite thing to do as a couple? Anything, we love to go out and just stay in

13) Do you have any children? Nope! And not for awhile.

14) Does he have a hidden talent? Cory is amazingly good at everything! He is a smooth talker! Everyone falls in love with him.

15) How old is he? 26

16) Who said I love you first? I probably did, even though I would wait as long as possible for him to. I think we were both pretty nervous about that!

17) What is his favorite type of music? He likes a lot different music

18) What do you admire most about him? It's hard to pick one thing. He's so lovable and always makes me laugh. He is the craziest person I have ever met and we compliment one another so well!

19) Do you think he will read this? Probably since I mentioned I was writing about him.

Summer fun!

Well, the summer has come to an end. It came and went way too fast I feel I never had enough time to enjoy it. It was filled with an internship at 3form and plenty of weddings, birthdays and family parties. My favorite part of the summer was when Cory surprised me with a trip for our 1 year anniversary. I thought we were driving wherever we were going but we ended up at the airport. We ended up at Lake Tahoe and canoed across the lake to an island for our picnic. We had a great weekend and some horrible sunburns to remind us of our fun!

Blogging Beginning

So I've finally given in! As much as I love reading everyone's blogs, I've decided to try it all myself. Since Cory and I don't have kids yet, it may not be too exciting. So I'll do my best!
