Pack your bags

I am considering getting these adorable suitcases from Land of Nod for Caleb's room. Aren't they so cute. I want the blue ones. What do you think? I love the set of 3 and the price is nice as well. I wish I had a better picture but you'll just have to check it out for yourself. Have any of your shopped at Land of Nod?

Let's take to the seas...

I'm feeling nautical. And I'm seeing it everywhere. I love it. This may be a follow-up with my love of stripes. But they go so well together. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my dad was in the Navy? Even if he may have been in the air, I think I want to be a sailor. Or at least have fun using inspired accessories. Sailing (or boating for others) just screams summer to me. I love it! These are a few tutorials I have seen that I would love to do! Anyone feeling crafty and want to jump on board with me?

An Anthro-inspired Necklace

A Sailor Knot Bracelet

Or maybe I'll skip the idea of making something and just buy these great pieces. Don't you just love etsy??

When I think of sailing for some reason I think of the movie Failure to Launch. Has anyone else seen that? There is the most amazing sailboat in that movie. It definitely made me question would I rather have a sailboat or a speedboat? I am desperately trying to find an image of the boat so you can see what I mean. But I have to say that the sail on the boat was gorgeous. I want the exact one.

What would you prefer, a sailboat or a speedboat?

Keep Calm...

I've seen this everywhere but I still love it. I'm tempted to get one for my home. It seems like a great motto to follow. What motto do you like to live by?

Great Weekend.

Sorry, no pictures. If you have pictures from this weekend, please email them to me!

I love long weekends. Cory didn't have to go in yesterday so it made it even better. We had a great Saturday. We went up to Logan and spent the day at the Ellsworth's. It was a lot of fun. We had some yummy food, swam in the pool and played games. Caleb absolutely loved swimming. He had fun diving into the water and chasing all the kids around the pool. He was hilarious and everyone admitted that it would have been boring without Caleb there. He is always the life of the party. We (as in Vicki, McKaylee, Emily and me) also played Wackee Six. I don't think Vicki liked it very much, she had a hard time keeping up. But Emily and McKaylee practically won every round. Cory and I were so glad we made the trip up there and spent probably our last 4th of July in Utah with them. We love spending time with family!

Saturday night was spent with Ben and Angela! We have so much fun with them and wish we could go up there more often. We spent the evening chatting, giving Caleb a bath (which I need that adorable picture of him from Angela) and setting off fireworks. This was Caleb's first fireworks show and he loved it. Of course I didn't take any pictures again. So I'll have to get them all from Ang. Caleb was really into the fireworks and just sat there open-mouthed the entire time. He got very excited for a few of the fireworks like the whistling ones. It was hilarious. I wish I had a video camera out for that. We left Logan around 11:30 and didn't get home until 1 am. Cory was so tired while driving, I spent the entire car ride asking him random questions like, "if he was an Indian, what would his Indian name be?" haha. I had to keep it interesting, right? And luckily I had pop rocks in my purse. Those were bound to keep him awake and I was right. Those will have to be in my purse every time we plan on driving at night, haha.

Sunday was another great day. We headed over to Cory's parents house for what we thought was just another Sunday dinner and found it to be an entire family 4th of July party. We had so much fun. We ate some yummy food and had another fireworks show. This time with the big fireworks we missed the other night. It was great. Caleb amazingly fell asleep during the fireworks he was so tired from all of the fun. Monday was spent recovering from our fun weekend and now Cory is back in Park City. We had so much fun and missed all of you who couldn't make it! Hope everyone else had as much fun as we did!

Happy Holiday Weekend!

Hoping everyone gets to do something fun! I know some of you need to work or take care of sick kids. But hopefully you'll be able to get out and enjoy the weekend and celebrate our great country!

I'm seeing stripes

And I love it! These images have been going over and over in my mind. I need to find a way to incorporate stripes into my home. So the quest is on to find some louis or queen anne chairs and recover them in a beautiful bold stripe. Wish me luck!

I am in love...

with this adorable clock. I am torn between the yellow and aqua, either way it would make a wonderful addition to my home. Christmas is too far away.
