Caleb's Birthday

Caleb had a great birthday. We had a great family turn out with yummy treats. I made a special cake for Caleb to eat. Something that he could dive into himself. I'm pretty sure I should have stopped him a lot sooner than I did. He ate more than half the cake! Thanks for coming everyone!

Puffy Eater

To compliment Naomi's addictive puff pictures. These are some I took of Caleb about a month ago. He had gotten into his snack ball in the diaper bag and was so excited to eat them. haha. What is it about them that babies love so much?

Teeth Update

Well, I guess I should update since it has been awhile. Caleb has 4 teeth now. They all came together and make him look like a little boy instead of a baby. I hate it. haha. He loves to bite me and one of his recent victims was poor little Cailin. Luckily he didn't break skin, but it did swell. Can you teach a baby his age not to bite? Or at least teach him it's not funny? Below are pictures I took of him about a month ago trying to get his teeth. It was tough work.

Teething

How long does it take to cut a tooth? Caleb has 4 coming and he's been working on one for about a 2 1/2 weeks. What's the longest it has taken your babies?

Swimming with the family.

Before we moved from our apartment everyone came over for some fun. We went swimming, ate and played games. We love spending time with our family!

Living with a 9 month old

Well life is crazy living with a 9 month old. Caleb had his 9 month appt. yesterday and he is growing well. He is in the 52% for his weight at 20 lbs. 8 oz. And we thought we were over feeding him. But he is moving around like crazy now, so he's growing pretty smoothly. He is in the 75% for his height and is 29" tall. He also has a perfectly average sized head. Here are some fun pictures of Caleb recently.

Has anyone else tried these mesh teething feeding bags? They are great! Here is a link for them at Babies R Us, but I bought mine at Target. They are great for the teething baby, or anytime.

Caleb highly recommends them.

He's eating frozen blueberries here, but we've also given him frozen mangoes.

But our days lately consist of eating a lot and playing. It's exhausting. Hope everyone else is having a great summer! I'll post some swimming pics soon.

Pack your bags

I am considering getting these adorable suitcases from Land of Nod for Caleb's room. Aren't they so cute. I want the blue ones. What do you think? I love the set of 3 and the price is nice as well. I wish I had a better picture but you'll just have to check it out for yourself. Have any of your shopped at Land of Nod?

Let's take to the seas...

I'm feeling nautical. And I'm seeing it everywhere. I love it. This may be a follow-up with my love of stripes. But they go so well together. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my dad was in the Navy? Even if he may have been in the air, I think I want to be a sailor. Or at least have fun using inspired accessories. Sailing (or boating for others) just screams summer to me. I love it! These are a few tutorials I have seen that I would love to do! Anyone feeling crafty and want to jump on board with me?

When I think of sailing for some reason I think of the movie Failure to Launch. Has anyone else seen that? There is the most amazing sailboat in that movie. It definitely made me question would I rather have a sailboat or a speedboat? I am desperately trying to find an image of the boat so you can see what I mean. But I have to say that the sail on the boat was gorgeous. I want the exact one.
